Relationships! Relationships! Relationships! They are the cornerstone of any successful school and the way a school fosters these relationships varies widely across the district. Merriam Park has instituted OUR Bear Dens (cross grade level groupings) this year and we have seen several positive effects in OUR school culture and the impact on the things that we find to be most important. In this breakout session, we will share the process to begin a similar outreach opportunity in your building. We will cover all facets from possible lesson suggestions, schedules, who is involved (the answer: EVERYONE!), where we are heading with them in the future, and the challenges we have faced.
